Call for Papers


The call for papers is now open for the ANZSOM 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.

The technical program will run over four days from Sunday 25th to Wednesday 28th October 2026.

Joined by the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) as scientific partner, the event will deliver a diverse and high-quality educational experience for participants.


The theme of the conference “Evidence & Experience in Occupational Health” will accommodate a broad range of topics. Successful papers will be allocated a 15-minute oral presentation at the ASM "Contributed Papers" session.

All papers presented at the conference will be eligible for the David Goddard Best Paper Award which will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference theme
  • Technical / scientific merit
  • Original work that contributes to advancement in occupational health
  • Quality work that contributed to advancements in occupational health
  • Quality of presentation, including layout, content and timeframes adhered to.


Presenters must register for the conference but will will receive a complimentary registration for the day their paper is being presented.

NOTE: If approval is required from your organisation, this must be secured before paper submission and relevant evidence of approval provided with this application.


Successful submissions will be notified via email during the week commencing 24th August 2026.
